Project overview

Gemdale Plaza occupies a prime location near Beijing East Chang'an Avenue and the CBD and thus enjoys a geological advantage. The project was completed in 2007. It comprises  two Grade A office buildings  of international standard and a commercial centre  along the Chang'an Avenue. The total GFA of the two office buildings is approximately 100,000 m2  and the height of the two office buildings is 168 meters (Tower A) and 105 meters (Tower B) respectively. The interior ceiling  height is 2.75 metres for Tower A and 2.65 meters for Tower B. Both office buildings are equipped with 8-10 cm elevated floors. A combination of comfortable space allocation and advanced intelligent building control system as well as the the VAV central air-conditioning system creates a comfortable and efficient office environment.The commercial center, with a GFA of 20,000 m2  , is connected with Metro 1 through basement one. The first three floors of the commercial centre  above  ground level is an   atrium  made of transparent glass structure which is 108 meters long and 18 meters high, connecting office towers A and B to form a commercial and office complex.The 168 meter-high  commercial complex of Gemdale Plaza was elaborately designed by SOM and SWA (being renowned international architects and landscape architects respectively). Thanks to the developer’s pursuit of top quality, it has become the new landmark of the Central Business District (CBD) of Beijing and also East Chang’an Avenue.
